With a solid reputation in the market, Sandalus quartzite is now from Magban's own quarry. Its new quarry face features a consolidated structure, allowing for a polished finish in addition to the traditional brushed finish. Sandalus is a fine-grained quartzite, with foliation marked by the deposition and orientation of its minerals. It exhibits movements of coloration in darker and brown tones.

Petrographic characteristics indicate that the rock has a simple mineralogical composition, primarily consisting of quartz (77%), muscovite (8%), sericite (7%), biotite (7%), and plagioclase (3%).
